Gardening in the Northern Neck Canceled/Postponed
On March 12, Virginia Tech announced the cancellation of all University-sponsored events at any location scheduled prior to April 30 and expected to draw crowds larger than 100 people. As a Virginia Cooperative Extension sponsored event, this includes Gardening in the Northern Neck.
This decision was based on the trajectory of the COVID-19 coronavirus disease throughout the U.S. and the expectation that the disease will continue to spread in many communities. We are therefore canceling our Gardening in the Northern Neck Seminar scheduled for Saturday, March 21, at the White Stone Church of the Nazarene.
If you registered for Gardening in the Northern Neck, you will receive an email or phone call with specifics about refunds for your registration and lunch expense.
We hope to reschedule the seminar to later this year and will update you as soon as possible.
Gardening in the Northern Neck is the Northern Neck Master Gardeners' main fundraiser. Proceeds fund the Northern Neck Master Gardeners' Scholarship and other outreach and educational activities.
